The #RUGTG4HALLOWEEN Contest is sponsored and administered by Ken Hall / Goodie the Ghoul, Ottawa, Ontario (“Sponsor”). Questions may be sent to Goodietheghoul@gmail.com.

CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins September 16, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends November 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Entries received outside this period are not eligible.

ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory and who enter on behalf of a child aged 4–12. The Sponsor and members of the Sponsor’s immediate household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

HOW TO ENTER
No purchase is necessary. A purchase will not improve an entry’s chance of winning. A parent or legal guardian must complete the private entry form at GoodietheGhoul.com and upload one clear photograph of the child’s completed Goodie-inspired Halloween costume. Limit one entry per child.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Entries must be created through human imagination and effort. Artificial intelligence tools may not be used to design the costume; generate or replace any part of the photograph; add or remove visual elements; create backgrounds; enhance the costume; or otherwise produce or materially alter the entry. Basic cropping and ordinary adjustments to brightness, contrast, and colour are permitted if they do not materially change the child, costume, or setting. Automatic processing normally performed by a phone or camera is permitted. The Sponsor may request the original photograph or additional information to verify compliance. Entries believed to contain AI-generated or AI-altered material may be disqualified. Entries must be suitable for a family audience and must not contain dangerous, hateful, unlawful, or infringing material.

PRIZE
One grand prize will be awarded: one custom Goodie hat and one signed softcover copy of Goodie the Ghoul. The approximate retail value is $80 CAD. Standard Canadian shipping is included. The prize is not transferable and has no cash value. The Sponsor may substitute an item of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

JUDGING AND CHANCES OF WINNING
Eligible entries will be judged after the Contest closes using the following criteria: 

1. CREATIVITY: 40% 

2. SPIRIT: (Ghoul with a good heart): 40% 

3. COSTUME EFFORT: 20%. If entries are tied, the entry with the higher “ghoul with a good heart” score will rank higher, followed by creativity. The Sponsor’s judging decisions are final. The chances of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received.

WINNER NOTIFICATION
The parent or guardian of the potential winner will be contacted by email by November 5, 2026. The potential winner must respond within five calendar days, confirm eligibility, and provide the information reasonably required to deliver the prize. If the potential winner cannot be reached, does not respond on time, or is found ineligible, the next highest-scoring eligible entry may be selected.

PRIVACY AND PHOTO PERMISSION
Information submitted through the form will be used to administer the Contest, judge entries, contact the potential winner, and deliver the prize. A child’s surname, home address, telephone number, or personal email address should not be submitted. Permission to publish the costume photograph and the child’s first name or nickname is separate and optional. Declining publication permission will not affect judging or eligibility. A photograph will be published only where the parent or guardian has checked the optional publication-consent box.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering, the parent or guardian confirms that the information provided is accurate, that they are authorized to submit the photograph, and that the entry complies with these Rules. The Sponsor may disqualify incomplete, late, fraudulent, unsafe, or non-compliant entries. The Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel the Contest if fraud, technical problems, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control prevent it from operating fairly. Any change will be posted at GoodietheGhoul.com.

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Amazon, Wix, or Lids. By entering, participants release those companies from responsibility relating to the administration of this Contest.

GOVERNING LAW
The Contest is subject to applicable Canadian and Ontario laws and regulations. By entering, participants agree to comply with these Official Contest Rules.
